How to run a report

To run a report, log in to the Star Online and go to your dashboard. From there, click on the ‘run report’ button and this will load the ‘reports dashboard’ which provides a list of common reports for which you have access.

For most users, you will now see the report (exceptions to this are described below). At the top of the page, the report is explained and any default settings that have been applied are described so that you know exactly what you are looking at. On the right hand side you will see a series of options to change the settings of the report. Some reports have ‘advanced’ versions that allow you to refine your report further, e.g. by selecting a specific age range, gender, ethnicity and/or support need. This is useful in helping to identify patterns in the data.

You will see the option to access the advanced version of the report just above the filters on the right and below the description of the report.

Managers of more than one service and Star Online leads

As you have permission to run reports on multiple services, and these services may use more than one Star, you will sometimes be asked to select the Star and/or service that you would like the report to cover. Follow the instructions on screen to generate your report.
